Traffic Impacts

On May 5, the contractor expects to start milling the old pavement on Indianola Ave at Hudson St and move north toward E. North Broadway over approximately 4 weekdays. Weather dependent, paving is anticipated to start around May 12 and take approximately 6 weekdays.

After paving, crews will spend the next 5 weekdays, weather dependent, installing new pavement striping and markings, including crosswalks, buffered bike lanes and protected bike lane barriers at the southern section of the corridor. Signage updates will follow in late May, including at COTA stops. Bike racks will be installed near Studio 35.

NOTE: Temporary No Parking signs will be installed along Indianola between North Broadway and Hudson St at least 72 hours before milling starts. The signs will include posted No Parking dates and 7 am to 7 pm restrictions. However, when crews finish each workday at approximately 4 to 5 pm, parking generally will be permitted. Watch for other signage and contractor equipment. Parked vehicles should be moved off Indianola by 7 am the next workday.
